Adding A Background.
You can add a background to any page that has the
Insert Table icon.
Before you start, you need to have TWO windows open. The one that you are working in, and another for the background you have chosen. For this example, we will take the background from a photo album, but you can use any background you find.
When you have chosen the background you want to add, click on the 'thumbnail' to open it up.
This is the thumbnail, you CAN NOT get the url from here, you must click and open the picture up.

'Right' click on the background, and a box will appear, (as below). In this box, click on properties.

This box will appear.
Look for ADDRESS (URL) and highlight it by placing your cursor at the beginning of the address, holding down your right mouse button, and dragging through the whole address, to highlight it, then press 'ctrl+c' on your keyboard. Or, right clicking on it, then, in the box that appears, click 'select all' right click again, on the highlighted (blue) area, then select Copy.
Now, go back to your first page, where you are adding the background, and click on, Insert Table.
This box will appear.

Click Rows & Columns
In the box next to Rows, type in 1.
And the same with Columns, type in 1.
Then click on Padding and Spacing.

Put Cell Padding to number 10, and Cell Spacing to number 1.
Then click on Borders.
Put Border Width to number 5 for a thick border, 1 for a thin. Then click in the Border Color box, then click on the color you want the border of the page to be. (If you look at this page, you will see I have chosen purple).
Now click on Background.
Click in the box next to Background Image URL, then on your keyboard, press ctrl and V at the same time. This pastes the URL into the box. Leave Background Color, blank.
Finaly, click on Insert Table, and your background will be in the top, left, corner of your Editing Page. It will look like this.
Click inside the box, and add whatever text or pictures you want to.
| Type or add pictures as you normally would. |
Do not open up the box, let it do this as you type inside it. If it is not the correct size, when you have finished working on the page, then you can make it wider, or longer.
You can add a background, to the inside of another background. You can change the Padding and Spacing, to get a different affect, or you can change the width of the Border.
When making a Background page like this one, the only thing you can't change, is the Columns and Rows, both must be set to 1. You only change these when adding a Table.
