Visualization.

Before doing any visualizations, we should always take a moment to clear our mind, take a deep breath and center a bit. It shifts the energy within.

Some days more then others, out side influences wear heavily on our shields. Others, their emotions, their nasties, invade our awareness and we are affected. When this occurs we are frazzled, flustered and edgy. To combat this we need to stop and draw inward a bit. This does two things.

1) it allows us to create distance.

2) it allows us to find our personal center once more.

so there fore our shielding will be reinforced and our minds will clear.

This is a visualization for the frazzled. to calm a hyper mind, to sooth some frazzled nerves, to draw inward and to focus once more.

The Beach of Solitude..

When the hair pulling, tension and stress build, we must take a step backward. We must slip away to a quiet place and breath.

Inhale slowly. Close you eyes, Exhale slowly, Repeat. This creates a needed break in the tension cycle. Five minutes, ten even better, take the time to slip away to a quiet secluded spot, a nice desserted stretch of beach at night.

sit quietly, relaxing in your seat, Draw inward, into the safe place, your place. Center , you know where it is. Breathing deeply, in and slowly out, feel the tension slip a bit as you create your buffer. Close off all out side influences. Shut out the noise, the traffic, the flashing beeping, the constant hum. Go inward,. for a personal trip. A trip needed for tranquility.

Slowly let the out side slip away, and reach your mind forward, seeking the peace and solitude your day has not afforded. This is your quiet space. A quiet secure time, your time.

Close your eyes and inhale deeply, smelling a faint salty tang . Feeling a cooling wind brush your face. Move your mind forward, relaxing, knowing you are travelling to your special place.Feel all the day's stress and worry slide away. Draw inward, feel your heart beating, feel your calm breathing, in thru the nose, slowly released out thru the mouth. Relax your body, allowing all thoughts, good , bad or indifferent, to flow forward like water. Do not dwell on any one thought, but let them past slowly like sand thru your open hand. Acknowledge them and let them pass. Allow your self this time of peace and centering. Freely relaxing, resting in this place.

In your minds eye you have moved forward, you have stepped slowly to this quiet long stretch of desserted beach. Breath deeply as you inhale the first tangy breathe. Relax and sigh as you feel your feet sink deeply into the still warm sand, wiggling your toes, releasing tension, as the days worries slip to the back of your mind, like the tingling sand, sliding over your foot.

Now is your time, your private quiet time. Here on this quiet beach is a peaceful softness. Tilting your head to the left you hear the soft lapping of the tide, the soft waves crashing against the shore. The ebb and flow, the rolling waves. the splashing spray that showers delicately over your face. Smiling, you turn toward the water line, walking relaxed, breathing deeply, you allow all thoughts to roll like the waves, ebbs and flows, acknowledging and releasing all of them and moving on. As you walk, you hear the quiet night sounds of the terns nestling up on the cliffs. The soft chirps and warbles as you pass.

The night symphony continues as your awareness grows , here in this special place , there are many levels. The caressing sea breeze that tugs at your hair , the water, the salt, the smell is fresh and clean and you breath deeply. Spining in a circle, your gaze moves higher, to the sky, ebony with indigo highlights, the shifting horizon, the sun waits to rise, as the moon, so full so heavy hangs on, clinging to the night stubbornly above the water line. Standing in the soft glow of moonlight, tingles dance along your skin. You are aware of the freshness of this place, the solitude and comfort.

The many textures wash over you. Roughness of the grains of sand between your toes, the chilled night breeze blowing in from out to sea, the blanketing comforting darkness, wrapped around you and over you. The white luminious glow from the heavy full moon as you wander down the shore line. You watch unconcerned as small crabs scurry out of the water, seeking a mid night snack. You smile as a sea turtle drags her self ponderously toward the waters edge, her duty now complete.

You stop and rest a m inute, searching at your feet , washed a shore are tiny sea shells, and miniture sand dollars. you run your foot over them , feeling the texture.

Slowly sinking to the sand, you sit relaxed. listening to the rush of the waves as they race to the shore, you listen hearing them break and crash, feeling the energy released. And you know that like the waves, you too must release the energy crashing. Like the shore, you must give a little, allowing the waves to crash and flow over you. But knowing even as they wash over you, you remain. The waves recedes, Recognize the truth in nature. The waves can be over whelming. The waves can have tremendous force and bearing. But know, like the shore even if we give alittle, we remain long after the waves recede. Like the stones on the shore, we must be both firm and yielding at times.

Relax feeling the waves as they flow one after the other, Breath deeply of the night air, smell the salty air, and enjoy the humming lullaby that the ocean sings for you. The soft repeating cadence of the rolling waves intermixed with gull or tern cries from the cliffs above.

Relax here on this beach of solitude and know that where ever you roam, this special place, this beach is always waiting to welcome you back. Recognize this is a sacred space, a calm retreat for you to use when the world pushes. As the sand is a buffer between the shore and the ocean, so is this place a buffer a quiet zone for your mind from the world beyond. Relax, breathing, being thankful to the One. Thankful for the oneness you experienced here on the beach of solitude. And walk away from this place refreshed and renewed, centered and relaxed, more able to face the demands life gives us.
