We have said that there is an "I" and a "Me". The "me" gets taken care of when we eat , exercise, rest. But we also need to take care of the "I" or it will become jealous of the "me". When this happens the me becomes weary and things like sickness and stress and other mental dis-ease can occur. In this busy world we often tend to take care of others needs before we think of our own. If you are a parent you tend to your childrens need. At work we take care of our customers or clientele or we cater to our bosses needs. At home we often see to our spouse or life partners. There is nothing wrong with spending time on yourself. Not only is it healthy for you to do so for your"me" it is healthy to do it for you "I". To begin with we must first take care of the needs of our"me". You need to have eaten, be fairly rested and refreshed, and be reasonably clean. ( In other words the me needs to feel good in order to let the I take over)
Visions: These include those psychic senses or feelings that we can recieve when we open our minds. There are several types of vision and not all are releated to actually "seeing".
Clairvoyance= 90% of people see images
Clairsentience= 6% of people feel things they associate with a certain type of mood.
Clarigustation= 1% of people taste things
Clairolfaction= 1% of people smell things.
Clairaudience= 2% of people hear things.
Meditation: The hardest thing for us to do is let our minds be free. We often daydream even during our everyday rituals ( such as brushing our teeth or getting dressed) Dreams of either version, sleeping or daydreaming, are important because our minds need freedom and relaxation as well as our bodies. Scientists have proven over and over that a lack of dreams ( whether we remember them or not) will cause a persons mind to lock or in laymans terms make them mentally unstable. Of course this is not the only cause for mental illness but it can certainly be a contributing factor.
There are two types of meditation, the inner meditation where one hears messages from ones self, and the outer meditation where one receives messages from another source. In order to achieve either state we must learn to focus and control our own minds.
First and foremost, in order to meditate we must be in a position of quiet. This means our "me" is satisfied and our "I" is ready to take over. Find a comfortable place where you can relax but not sleep, and wear something comfortable.Make sure your clothing is not binding and that you have your hair free ( not under a hat or in a ponytail holder) and do not wear any jewelry. Metals of any kind interfere with our bodies natural energies. If we needed wedding rings or other adornments in order to function we would be born with them. Now I already stated you should feel comfortable so if you must leave your ring or other type of jewelry on that is ok. Just understand that you may or may not be limited to the types of vision/messages you will receive.
Next we must calm our mind. Yes I know is sounds very difficult but it really isnt once you get the general idea of things. There are many meditation techniques out there. For the purposes of this lesson I will give you the most basic routine that I have found works on 99% of people. If you try this once a day for 7 days and find you simply cant stop your mind from ruling then you may e-mail me to discuss other techniques. But the goal is to find one that works for you.
First you want to sit or rest in a comfortable position. I ask that you give this at least 15 minutes at first. Try doing this routine at least 5 times in a row. You will want to have a pen /pencil and paper handy to record anything you may experience to read again later.
Second close your eyes. This helps to disassociate you with the everyday world and prepare your mind for rest/relaxation. Think of a place that you have been to or want to visit that would be relaxing for you. Anywhere you want there are no limits.
Then imagine a small chameleon in your place. You see him and he is a very vivid color. You think to yourself what is that thing doing in my place. You see him scurry across the way. Any thoughts that come across your mind I want you to attach to the chameleon. And for every thought you have that is not restful you see him change colors. Continue to do this until the only thing you see is the chameleon and his color. This may take several attempts and it is ok for him to be a thousand colors. Remember this is your mind and you are in control. Once you see him remain a constant color you will have reached a meditative state and you will be ready to receive messages/visions. Let your self be free to anything you may experience. When you are ready to return I want you to imagine yourself jumping up very high and when you land your feet are firmly planted on the ground in your special place. Look at your feet and see where you are standing. Remember what kind of ground you are on. See your feet and remember what kind of shoes/socks/barefeet you have. Then slowly open your eyes. Take your paper and write down any messages you may have gotten no matter how silly they may seem. Try this exercise as often as you can. When you have attempted this at least 7 times then I should like for you to send me the results you had if you feel comfortable. This way I will know what tips to include in my follow up lesson.
Remember it is ok if you recieve nothing while you meditate at first. It does not mean you hve failed. It simply means your mind is resting and that is the goal. Your mind will go at its own pace. dont get discourgae and allow it to do so. Not all people are alike for if we were earth would be a boring place.
Hope you are enjoying these lessons and Blessed Be
