I have found the best way to start retrieving past memories is a collective process.
We will collect information. First I listen to the person asking about their past lives. What are their likes, dislikes, serious adversions. Hobbies, quirks, what do they collect, what things do they surround themselves with. A lot of these we do subconsciously. Did they have a country or countries they are attracted too? Why are they? Do they have specific time periods they associate with, or dwell on. I always start here, collection, seemingly meaningless info, but when you start putting it together, it starts to create a blue print. An over view you can work with , to start filling in the gaps. Things that people feel strongly for or against are usually associated with a past life experience. My self included, i will be an example. Since i was very young, i could not tolerate any thing up around my neck, the band of a shirt, turtle neck, or tight necklace, had to go, it gave me fits, causing a mild form of panic. I have never been choked, not as a child (i checked with parents) nor older, but this irrational panic had no explanation. But when i was older, around twenty, i started regression, to retrieve memories of past lives. With the help of a friend, i regressed, and remembered being hung. Imagine my surprised when i reads the notes. It was disturbing, but a relief in a way. I finally found out why things around my neck bother me. Once you realize and recognize, you can move on.
This is why we seek our memories, to grow, to move forward, to acknowledge our mistakes our lessons, accept them, and move on with the knowledge we need. Each life has a purpose, a lesson we need to learn .
After you have made a master list , an over view of your feelings, your passions, your adversions. We move on to more in depth techniques.
DREAMS
Have you ever had a dream that was so vivid, so real to you, that when you woke, you remembered the details? That is was alive to you, you felt familar in the surroundings, yo had lived it? This is common for some people to recieve information in their dreams.
I recommend a dream journal, to be kept as close to you when you sleep as possible. That way you can grab it first thing in the morning, to wrote down any dreams, or memories, whether whole or fragments that you get while sleeping. Here's an old hint, a wive's tale but true.Do not look out your window first thing upon rising. You will forget your dreams!
No kidding, they will fly out the window! To look out the window, or a door for that matter, it triggers a shift in awareness. A door or window is a portal. Passing thru, passing beyond, triggers this shift. Try to lay with your eyes closed for a minute, pulling you your dream, or impressions. Breath deeply, and let your mind wonder back to them. This will take practice, trust me. You are training your mind, to keep these images. After a few minutes, write down your impressions in your dream journal. Don't judge them, just write them, how ever they flow. These will be read later, gathering the info is first!
Affirmations before sleepong can help.To train your mind to remember upon waking, you plant the suggestion right before you nod off. In the alpha, soft fuzzy state, is when yo u need to do this. Lay quietly, letting your thoughts flow like water, one after the next. Allow your body to relax, head to toe, easing slowly, letting go of the day. When you get to the point of fading in and out, that is the stage for an affirmation, like a subliminal thought. To repeat your affirmation before sleep will plant it in your unconscious mind.
here is an example, you can write your own:
Night to day, day to night.
Visions they come, let me see the sight!
Is very simple concept, but you would be surprised how well this works.Try it and see.
REGRESSION
This is the most indepth you can go with past lives. I do not recommend this for every one.Not that it is harmful, because it is not harmful to the body,But the inofrmation you recieve might be shocking to you. To relive a painful memory can be harsh, especially for the first time. I recommend yo uhave some one there who has done this before! Some one one who knows how to trigger the memories, with out suggesting them.It is important to allow memories to flow upward, with out tainting them! We must be objective. We must have perspective in gathering info. If you do a meditation on your own, I still recommend a friend be there to take notes for you.For obvious reasons, I am not going to write out exactly how to do a regression, as I feel these need to be monitored. But I will give you a general idea.
The subject of the regresssion needs to feel comfortable first and foremost. They can recline or lay on their back, head up a bit, hands folded over abdomen. The area should be a secure place, free of outside distractions, peaceful music will help set the stage for mental work. If you feel the need, yo umay have candles burning, incense, etc. If needed you may cast a circle. This is NOT necesary unless the subject feels more at ease. If it eases the mind and allows the subject to rest, do it. lower lights. I will call the regressor the guide in this narrative.
The guide's job is to relax the subject, making them at ease and comfortble. The guide also leads with out suggesting, the direction of the regresion in a lead meditation to start. Once subject is relaxed, breathing calmy at peace. The guide begins by setting the stage as it were. Reminding the subject that she is in a safe place, a secure enviroment. That all things she remembers or feels. will or can not harm her in any way! That they are memories, shadows only, to be remembered, understood and let go once more. All memories serve a purpose, a lesson we are to remember. Once subject is informs and relaxed, the guide will begin a short guided meditation. There are many methods, some esoteric, so silly, some so simple you wonder how they work. They work becaues ewe are freeing the mind, loosening the binds, the tight conscious rstraints we put on our mind.
One method is the staircase. This works quite well for many as it is a cofortable image with minimal trust issues. The subject moves freely, picking her own way so to speak.
A suggestion is made to the subject that she clear her mind, letting all thoughts settle back, allowing calm to move forward, allowing free floating to occur. Ince subject appears to be "loose" enough, the guide will start regression by suggesting, tha tin a darkened room she will see a beautiful lighted staircase. Subject will be qiuestioned gently by the guide as to appearance. Going fronm subject's descriptions, the guide will shift focus, directing the subject to move, step up or strp down on the staircase. From there the subject woll move freely, up down or not, her choice. Recording impressions for the subject is critical. Written objectively, with out embellishment is critical.ompressions, memories, visions, even sounds are written down. Going thru the meditation, giving directional suggestions, the guide helps subject pick the area they need to examine. Their mind will go where it needs to go if allowed. Calm safe, secure is necesary. The guide must be calm, in control, soft spoken, but not leading. Always the subject is in control! some times at the bottom of the stairs there are continuations.Doors usually more then one, a phone, a window, I have even seen trap doors! These are all perfectly normal tools the mind uses. Some times the mind is not ready to release some memory or information .At this time, it will set out warnings, detours, easy outs, this is why an experienced guide is necesary to me. To watch out for these "red flags".They know when seen, to pull back, to stop the regression at this time. The subject is not ready. Such warning objects maybe but are not eclusive to this list, do to the variables of the human mind: Black cats, broken glass, barred windows or doors, obstacles, warnings written or pictures, like yellow caution tape. Your mind will use familar things to express caution.even people have popped up in a guided meditation to bar the way. so the guide must be ever observant, watching, listening for the subject, taking notes accurately. As yo ucan see tyhe job of a guide is not easy. Ince more i suggest you find a guide with experience, they can get yo uwhere yo uneed to go quickly and can watch for any pit falls youe mind might throw out there. I wantot say again, yo ucan not be harmed bodily by memories, but the inof you recieve might be harsh, or disturbing. This is why am experienced guide is important, they can smooth over bumpy areas by reassuring the subject. to help move beyond troublesome areas. breathing is important too, breath control translates to better mind control. Is very important the subject breath normally.Once all info is pulled up, the guide will ease the subject back upward.releasing images. reassuring, calming helpful to subject to drift upward to consciousness. This is not hypnosis!this is a leading meditation. At no time does the guide make subliminal suggestions. The subject is awake and aware but in an altered relaxed state.Slowly the subject is eased up out of the state. She should feel refreshed and fine, remembering all that was said.
