Associated with the color red, the blood moon is connected with the slaughter of animals and the storage of food for the winter.

The Snow Moon-November

It’s color is silver-blue, symbolic of the snow that is beginning to fall.

The Oak Moon-December

A black moon, symbolic of the dark aspect of the God.

The Ice (~Wolf~) Moon~ January

It’s color is purple, associated with the water trapped under ice n the winter months.

The Storm Moon-February

Associated with the renewed movement of water as the ice begins to thaw, it’s color is blue.

The Chaste Moon-March

It’ color is white, symbolic of the virgin aspect of the Goddess.

The Seed Moon-April

It’s color is light green, like the plants that have begun growing.

This is the last moon before the harvest, it’s color is yellow.

Wort basically means green plant.

The Barley Moon-September

This is the moon that rises at the time grains are harvested. It’s color is brown.

The Wine (Blue) Moon

This moon is burgundy. It’s the spare moon, usually falling in September or October
